Tsuzuki Parking Area Meet
Dino over at SPEEDHUNTERS has all the luck. When in Japan, it seems coming across an epic AE86 meet is as easy as driving on the highway…
The Tsuzuki Parking Area on the Daisan Keihin expressway, a stone throw away from my home, is at times the place where one of the biggest AE86 meetings in the Tokyo/Yokohama area occurs. Forget your loud Daikoku PA meetings, the atmosphere at Tsuzuki on that Saturday night a few months back was very relaxed, no loud music being blared out from “night club on wheels” vans and no interference from bosozoku bike gangs that usually get most meetings prematurely shut down thanks to their concertos of unsilenced exhausts.

Here at HR, we are all about gathering info and sharing the love of the global AE86 community. So when we heard of the newest hachiroku community movement in Japan we were really excited!
Portugal Power!
Being the birthing nation of our fine AE86, the Japanese are masters of the national ’86 meet, and from what we’ve seen up until now, the Irish are a close second but with this, that might change! The owners of Portugal put on their annual national AE86 meet seeing over 60 immaculate (mostly Levin) hachirokus convene upon Lieria for a sitdown lunch, afternoon skidpan event and some cruising to Caetano Auto Toyota dealership for what seems showbags and other fancy treats! It’s great to see the local dealerships getting behind the now ageing hachiroku and it’s rabid fans!

Hawaii 8-6:
HR Forum member EVADE gives us the latest on what’s happening in the local Hawaiian AE86 scene.
The meet was just a bunch of friends meeting up at a park and getting out there doing some driving. ’86 meets hardly happen here in Hawaii so when it happens again I’ll be sure to let you guys know.
